This Local History also touches on "Island Bitterroot", a park now disappeared; and the connection of the Apple Boom to the Bitter Root Inn Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright; as well as the irrigation from Lake Como south of Hamilton. In the Beginning chapters of the book, the author explains the connection of the economics of banking in Illinois to the barren benches of the Bitterroot Valley - in a very personal way.
