Ken Shelton gives us his take on the fundamental differences on the two trailer
hitches that claim to entirely eliminate trailer sway.
1) It remains attached to the
trailer. The truck only has a standard receiver. The hitch can easily be
transferred to your next trailer. If needed, Hensley stocks the different
attachments.
2) The HA adds about 90 lb. to the tongue weight.
3) The trailer tends to track slightly wider on turns with the HA
4) Hitching and unhitching a HA is different, but not more difficult.
1) The Pullrite remains
attached to the truck and the attachments are specific for the truck brand and
model (some crossover between models).
2) The Pullrite adds to the truck weight.
3) A trailer tends to track inside the turn.
4) Often the truck's spare needs to be relocated and the exhaust pipe rerouted.
5) Hitching and unhitching a Pullrite is different, but not more difficult.
6) Some folks complain about a rattle.
1) A LOT of money, but well worth it.
2) Both work as advertised.
3) Both are rugged, easy to repair; don't worry about buying a used hitch
unless it has gross damage.
